The Data Privacy & Tech Law Job Simulation is a self-paced virtual internship designed to provide practical exposure to legal issues arising in the digital and technology-driven environment. Hosted on the LMS platform of The Collective Counsel, this programme enables participants to engage with real-world inspired scenarios involving data breaches, privacy concerns, and corporate liability in handling user information. Participants take on the role of interns at Goda & Co. Ltd., assisting in a matter involving a company facing potential legal consequences due to a data security incident. The programme is structured to simulate how law firms handle such situations in practice. The objective of the programme is to develop practical understanding of data protection, risk assessment, and legal advisory in technology-related matters, moving beyond theoretical knowledge to real-world application.

This simulation follows a case-based approach, where participants work on a continuous matter involving a data breach incident. Each task represents a stage in handling the issue, requiring participants to analyze information, identify risks, and assist in providing legal advice. The focus is on applying legal reasoning in a technology context and understanding how legal and business considerations interact. The programme emphasizes practical thinking, structured analysis, and professional communication.
